Mobile solution for precise heart rate measurement Heartrate is an innovative healthcare app with the accuracy of a hardware heart rate monitor. Orangesoft developed special algorithms and color filters to ensure that the app's results are comparable to those obtained through hardware-based methods for heart rate monitoring. The app calculates heart rate using the iPhone camera and allows users to track and calculate their heart rate by either looking into the smartphone camera for about 20-25 seconds or placing a finger on the camera lens. Heartrate also incorporates filtering and data smoothing techniques and additional processing to cater to users with black skin color. We achieved a minimal latency in heart rate monitoring, ensuring users receive immediate feedback on their heart rate by recognizing the pulse through single user requests.
