The customer approached Onix with a simple short-term task of fixing bugs on a website. But as Onix team began to work on Adoric, we learned more about this marketing tool and together with the customer came to a decision of rebuilding the website from scratch. Adoric allows creating and easily managing marketing campaigns on the website, where no coding skills are required. It consists of two tools combined into one marketing system - an editor that creates lightboxes and an extensive analytics system that reflects marketing efficiency (conversions). We have created a drag-and-drop editor, using Vanilla JS. To build a super-fast and easy-scalable system, we used MongoDB and Node.js. With these technologies, our team was able to refuse from using any frameworks and this made the system very fast. As a result, it allows the system’s REST API on the server to provide instant responses. The project continues to grow and improve in order to offer more useful marketing features to customers of Adoric.
The owner of a small medical clinic and doctor service wanted a solution to the task of scheduling numerous house calls. A group of doctors regularly visits patients at their homes, nursing homes, and hospitals. The administrators assign each doctor up to 12 patients to visit every day. The goal was to make the planning work easier, save time, and reduce errors. The new custom standalone system needed to be synchronized with existing Electronic healthcare records (EHRs). These are real-time records that contain patients’ medical history, diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, immunization dates, allergies, radiology images, and laboratory and test results in a digital format. EHRs allow physicians and other authorized users to access this information instantly and securely. The synchronization of the two systems would allow the customer’s clinic and doctors to use patient information that is constantly updated by other healthcare providers. The customer also required a handy application to help doctors manage their schedules, optimize their travel to the patients, and provide relevant medical information on each patient when the doctor is on a house call. The application should perform smoothly on a smartphone or tablet regardless of the Operation system.
As a result of Onix’s collaboration, our client operates a reliable, well-performing web application that allows for a deeper level of control over clients' data, their results, and communication. Combining digital workflow with a highly interactive all-in-one fitness platform, our client offers a comfortable environment for thousands of users on the platform acting simultaneously: watching workout videos, doing daily check-ins, onboarding, creating and updating their fitness goals. From now on, our client delivers professional coaching services online more efficiently while helping his customers achieve the best results.
Onix developed a Shopify store with unique fitness clothes for BetterMe customers. As a result of Onix’s collaboration, our client now operates a reliable, well-performing web store that allows users to purchase branded sport and fitness products, feel comfortable during activities, and sense the spirit of the BetterMe community. At this stage, we are implementing new ideas for marketers, the provided design, and working on implementing new functionality.

This case study highlights how we've assisted our client in creating a convenient website that allows cancer and post-cancer patients to share experiences and get support from each other.
This case study showcases our contribution to creating a solution that replaces a character's face with the user's face in a short, comical video. The Onix team implemented a mapping algorithm that doesn't solely rely on traditional facial landmarks but also uses the broader contours and shape of the target entity, whether it's an animal's face or an object. Moreover, we used advanced tracking algorithms in OpenCV to keep the human face consistently placed on the moving object. As users move or change expressions, accessories should adjust accordingly. A hat, for instance, should remain on the head, not float above it if a user raises their eyebrows. Also, different users have different face sizes and shapes. The accessories must fit proportionally. We used facial landmarks to create "anchor points" for accessories. For instance, glasses anchor to the bridge of the nose and ears, ensuring they move with the face realistically. Also, we developed an algorithm that adjusts accessory size based on detected face dimensions. For instance, the width between the eyes can determine the size of glasses. Regardless of where you make changes - on the mobile version or web, all modifications are automatically reflected across all platforms.
This game was presented as a tech demo at CeBIT 2017 held in Japan. This is a ship simulator game, where a player has to park their ship next to an oil derrick, but stormy weather won’t let them do it and there is a UFO that unpredictably attacks the ship. The game gained decent attention during the event and brought an investor to our customer. This app offers realistic computer graphics, true-to-life water physics, a real ship, UFO, water cannons, live seagulls and completely immersive virtual reality. A user is in full control of a ship.
Diren Kartal, the fitness coach and owner of Progress 247, has been conducting fitness training for ten years. Since Diren established Progress 247, he created a hybrid training environment where he communicated with his clients using Aweber and Slack, and he tracked their results by means of Excel Tables. To some extent, Progress 247 had been operated manually. That was inconvenient for both Diren and his clients. Diren chose Onix upon the recommendation of an existing client who also had a fitness project. So our client knew that Onix had the right expertise and a proven track record for fitness projects. Our collaboration with Haas started in 2017 when we staffed our specialists to help the company quickly develop an end-to-end solution to improve its service workflow and provide an outstanding customer experience. The product is a cryptocurrency trading platform enabling users to transact with Ethereum. It is based on Goerli API and works with Metamask wallet. It has multi-language support and facilitates Ethereum transactions. It’s unique in its focus on lending, with a decentralized non-custodial lending protocol where users can participate as lenders or borrowers.
PhotoWhy combines the features of a social network and a peer-to-peer learning app for photographers. With the mobile app, photographers can share their shots with the community and easily reach out to the best photographers in the world. Onix’s team joined the project when the client had already developed a list of requirements and the visual design. We suggested several major changes to the design and functionality and thus, convinced him that we had relevant experience, skills and processes to build a peer-to-peer learning marketplace. Technical Solutions: Onix developed and implemented all the app’s infrastructure and helped a social media platform evolve into an educational marketplace. During the development, we foresaw the problem of using inappropriate content on the platform. To mitigate this risk, we implemented image recognition at the uploading stage. Also, we used CDN delivery from S3 bucket to speed up photos loading. Our customer, LiftSync Inc., came to us with the general idea of the concept. In this project, Onix team served more as a product manager. We have developed two versions of the app - for the staff and athletes. Both app versions support full metrics for team, groups and individual athletes. Putting it all together allows following dynamic workout progress for each logical unit. The app is built around workouts, exercises, schedules, weights, sets, and reps with a sophisticated flexible monitoring progress view and analytics comparison features. To get the project going, we conducted a business and market analysis of the existing fitness apps. We worked through the idea, drew wireframes, created supporting documentation, developed a user flow map and an interactive prototype, did full app design, and turned it into a multi-platform software product. The app’s backend was done with Node.js and MongoDB, iOS version was completed with Swift and Android with Java.

Educational technology (ed-tech or EdTech) encompasses several domains, including online learning, mobile learning (m-learning), and other forms of distance education, as well as the development of relevant hardware, software, and applications.
The customer approached Onix with the idea of a massive re-design of the landing/product page for their SaaS. Elastic.io’s products help businesses spend less time on gathering data together across the entire organization, and instead, have enough time and resources to focus on using this data to improve business operations or to develop new products and services. The designers were using Sketch and Principle which provide the ability to create animations, quality prototypes, and videos for subsequent use by the developers. The landing page required dynamics and non-standard approach in front-end development. For the implementation, Onix developers were using ScrollMagic library, LESS CSS and jquery. Since the release, elastic.io has already seen an increase in the number of leads, the goal being to grow repeat visits, references and trial requests on the product page.
«The Fantastic Four» should make the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable for kids The brand style includes four animated characters, one for each of the four aspects of learning Chinese: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and hieroglyphics. Designed as in-app assistants and companions, each character has a name, possesses corresponding abilities, is featured in a number of episodes, and can change its size depending on emotions. This solution makes the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable for kids.
