Appsky defines itself as a company that has a startup culture and a startup mentality, although at the end of the day it operates as a more traditional company with more corporate clients. They found Lithium through an external business consultant, who did the research and suggested working with a Latam company and made the link with Lithium. The main driver was that it was impossible for them to find IT talent locally.

The challenge Create local teams in Colombia and Costa Rica for their biggest client in the US Healthcare industry. myBasePay had a specific challenge: build two teams of engineers for the development of a greenfield project that would transform the billing system of one of its vital clients. The first team was to be based in Medellin, Colombia, and the challenge was to help create a local team , including full-stack, backend, and frontend developers, as well as quality assurance testers. The second team had to be based in San Jose, Costa Rica, and the mission was to find very specific senior IT profiles to increase the current team in Central America.
