Steelcase, the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer, is renowned for creating great experiences by offering a range of furniture, architecture, and technology products since beginning its operations almost a century ago. Having thousands of employees working for it along with a huge number of vendors and dealers, Steelcase wanted to develop a platform to bring all these people together, so they could interact meaningfully, ask questions and find solutions. This was precisely why Steelcase got in contact with Codup. Using the BuddyPress plugin for WordPress, we built a company portal for Steelcase where all their employees, distributors, contractors, and dealers could get in touch with each other. Working similar to a forum, the platform was the place for everyone to connect and share information in an organized way. According to their requirement, we also integrated their company portal with OneLogin App in order to protect the forum from public access and authenticating its users before giving access. The result was a well-organized, easy to use and visually appealing forum where all the people related to their company could interact with each other in a meaningful way.
