Challenge Growers spend a majority of their time out in the field. This is where they gather data, track growth, study patterns, and strategize. Syngenta Digital has a web-based farm management software system called Land.db, but they needed a robust mobile version that would allow their clients to utilize their software when they needed it most: in the field. Problems to Solve Clients increasingly voicing the need for mobile. App needed to operate while also offline. Solution To create the mobile version for Land.db, we built the program from the ground up and handled all aspects of UI/UX, development, management, and delivery. Syngenta Digital clients now have their farming management tool while anywhere in the field. Due to farming work often being in areas with poor or no internet connection, every feature in the app can be used and accessed while offline. Once the app reconnects to the internet, it automatically syncs back up to the main system and server. The app also provides geolocation data to help users automatically locate the field they are surveying, to set rain gauges based on location, and to easily access maps and locations to track distances. Results Syngenta Digital experienced increased production, increased revenue, and increased client satisfaction since the app development. In comparison to the web-only offering, the mobile app usage is momententally higher. Customer retention increased, as well as the purchasing of additional Syngenta products.
Challenge: A mom had a problem. When her child was sick, Hada Kanner-Golan needed to keep track of their pain and fever doses, but there wasn’t an app that automated this process. She needed an app that adapted medication dosage to her child’s specific needs and profile, while also keeping track of when and how much was administered. She needed the help keeping this information tracked, and she figured other parents did too. So, she came to us with an idea. Problems to Solve: Medication dosage needed to be tailored to each child. Dosing schedule needed sharable capabilities with other users. Launch needed to reach the widest user base. Solution: We worked with Kanner-Golan to map out the user vase, help with discovery, complete the vetting process, and then design and develop the OnCure app. OnCure allows users to set up a profile for their child, which includes specifics like their weight and age. When a child becomes ill, the user can launch an event which automatically populates the dosage and times for pain and fever reducers. A symptom tracker and journal feature help the user keep all the child’s health information in one location and organized, which can be shared during the next pediatrician visit. A medication reminder for long-term medications can also be activated. The child’s profile can also be shared with secondary care providers, such as grandparents or nannies, so everyone involved in the child’s care remains on the same dosing schedule. Results: Kanner-Golan created Myrtus Enterprises, LLC, to launch OnCure. Since the launch, her app has been a financial success. Additional functionality can also be purchased. Due to demand, plans are in the works to create an Android version.
Challenge: How students learned in 2020 shifted drastically. They went from in-class, group interaction to mostly at-home, individual learning. Engage2learn, a company that provides person-to-person coaching, resources, and materials for teachers, wanted a tool that would provide assistance to both the elementary school teacher and the young learner when out of the classroom. The teacher needed support in organizing curriculum, creating lesson plans, and developing homework. The student needed the learning experience to match their level of education and to draw them into the lesson plan. Problems to Solve: Develop a software platform that encouraged student independent learning. Facilitate learning online targeted to the young learner. Create a tool for teacher and student communication. Incorporate engage2learn’s unique learning system. Solution: Partnering with Apple for this development, we took engage2learn through a detailed discovery phase to map out the priorities, core problems, and develop an in-depth analysis of the user. Targeted to preschool to third grade learners, the app uses bright visuals and whimsical design to engage the students into different levels of the lessons. Through engage2learn’s proprietary learning process as the backbone of the app, students can work at their own pace, on their own time, and with learning autonomy, all while their progress is tracked and guided by the teacher. Results: Within six months, the first version of indipath was in school districts for the pilot phase. Available in App stores now. Expected to reach broader school usage by upcoming school year.

The communication side of their outreach, which used multiple social media platforms, needed to be consolidated into one easy-to-access location. Problems to Solve: Consolidate communication for ministry leaders Connect students to other students in their faith Make it easily accessible Solution: We designed an IOS and Android app, both backend and user interface, that targets college students and graduating high school students looking to connect to Catholic Ministries on a particular campus, each user can access events, updates, and network in their location. The platform is closed, which allows the ministry leaders greater control over what content is allowed.
